Psyche-Node is about more than just recovery, it’s about transformation. We focus on creating behavioural change at the neurological level. Our work isn’t about getting people back to baseline. It’s about building something new: personal value, resilience, and cognitive strength.
We believe that real change happens when you go beyond symptom management. Most mental health services focus on getting people “better”, but then what? Our work is about helping individuals trade in past experiences, negative behaviours, and trauma for skill acquisition, healthy reward systems, and long term cognitive investment.
We call this neurological investment and cognitive cash out, the idea that the brain can be rewired not just to heal, but to thrive.
We’re currently working with multiple individuals in the UK prison system, demonstrating how dysfunctional brain wiring can be reshaped through a process grounded in both neuroplasticity and psychoanalysis.
Our treatment method is called: NIPFA-EMR (neuroplastic integration of psychoanalytic free association for episodic memory reconstruction)
This approach allows us to quantify negative behaviours and actively exchange them for healthier, more constructive patterns. It’s about proving that meaningful, lasting change is possible, even in the most overlooked environments.
At the heart of this work is compassion. We believe that everyone is navigating life with a brain they didn’t choose. That belief forms the foundation of everything we do. Every person deserves the chance to understand themselves, rewire their thinking, and build a brain they can live with, and be proud of.
To support this, we’ve launched a new initiative: CSVC (cut sentences via compassion)
This is a structured, multi stage program designed for people serving long sentences in the UK. It begins with a connection between two people, a victim who feels compassion, and an offender who’s ready for deep neurological and personal transformation. The idea is simple, we no longer see value in keeping people locked up with no path forward... our program offers one.
We propose that participation in CSVC can replace half of a prison sentence.
In a 30 year term, this looks like:
Years 1–5: Psychoanalysis focused on deep self understanding. As participants learn about themselves, they begin to strengthen their prefrontal cortex, improving emotional regulation, foresight, and personal insight.
Years 6–10: Education in psychology, biology, cultural awareness, and human behaviour. Through learning, we build understanding. Through understanding, we develop compassion, and compassion is the foundation for change.
Years 11–12: Skill acquisition based on a predefined career path. We work with partners to create real job roles tailored to each participant’s development and future goals.
Years 13–15: Paid employment within Psyche-Node partner companies, carried out from inside the prison. The salary is divided, 33% to the victim’s family, 33% to the offender’s own family, and the remaining saved for their release.
At the end of the program, the individual is released halfway through their original sentence, earlier than the standard parole date. From there, they continue working with us, become a representative within the system, and support others on their journey. This creates momentum. It compounds change. And it turns former offenders into leaders.
This initiative does more than reform individuals. It eases pressure on the prison system, lowers reoffending, reduces poverty, and rebuilds broken connections between victims and offenders. We believe society functions better when the brain is understood, and when people are given the tools to change it.
